Introducing Zero Deposit Fees
Oct 26, 2026

Cap is removing all minting fees for cUSD. Anyone can now mint and redeem cUSD 1:1 with USDC, 24/7, without fees, whitelists, or delays.
Why We Had Minting Fees
Until now, Cap charged a 0.1% minting fee because its minting and redemption infrastructure is fully automated. Every transaction requires real-time collateral pricing, and oracle deviations can reach 0.05%. The fee protected the protocol against these discrepancies.
With our new fee-free USDC pathway, users can enter and exit cUSD at a fixed 1:1 rate without exposure to collateral pricing deviations.
Battle-Tested Liquidity
Since launch, Cap has navigated the October 10 crash, February's market downturn, and continued market volatility without a single interruption to minting or redemptions.
Removing minting fees further strengthens Cap's liquidity proposition, making cUSD one of the most accessible yield-bearing digital dollars in the market.
Institutional Yield, Onchain Protection
Cap has delivered a 5.92% average APR over the past 30 days, according to Stablewatch.
This yield comes from institutional credit activity. Loans are issued to verified borrowers and covered by onchain collateral.
Cap's credit marketplace is fully permissioned, preventing unidentified or unauthorized borrowers, including sanctioned entities and attackers holding exploited assets, from accessing credit.
With zero-fee minting, 24/7 liquidity, and institutional credit yield, Cap continues to make institutional lending accessible to everyone.
